Job Title:
Underoccupancy Transfer Officer


Location of work:
Hybrid working - Home/Town Hall/In the community


Salary:
£26,233 - £30,879 (£13,112- £15,440 pro rata)


Basis:
Fixed term 12 months (part time 18 hours per week)


About the Role
If you like working with and helping people, this could be the new role for you.

The housing department is about to launch a new and exciting 12-month pilot scheme to encourage under occupying social tenants to downsize in order to release urgently needed family size accommodation for homeless households, once moved to smaller properties, tenants will also benefit from lower utility bills.

This new role has the responsibility for delivering and developing the scheme within a defined budget.

Responsibilities will include identifying and working with potential downsizers, working with partner Registered Providers and other statutory and non-statutory local agencies.

Within this role you really can make a difference to people's lives.
