Senior Android Engineer (Hybrid)

We're working with our very good friends who are now looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join their wonderful team

With a huge project won at the end of last year, and another one just secured you'll be joining at an interesting time.

About them

A business we have really got to know and love ??
Expect to be joining a company consisting of approximately 80 passionate, smart and allround good people
A company who are genuinely out there trying to solve some of the most complex problems, working on projects which would make your brain hurt in a good way
You'll be joining a team of around 7 engineers (a mix of Android and Java specialists) but their tech team is around 30 people in total including Software Engineers, ML Engineers, QA and DevOps.

About the role

As mentioned, this role is a bit different you're not going to be working and building normal Android apps.
You might find yourself working on something completely greenfield, or spend half the day looking into and researching the potential of a project
Right now, they're working on building a standalone android app which is a greenfield proof of concept for visualising data
They work within 2week sprints but are looking for someone who is okay with change as you may have to work on half day projects every now and again

About you

You'll be someone who's proactive, selfmotivated, likes a bit of a challenge and variety.
They're a super highperforming company so if you're looking to surround yourself with people who will challenge, teach and help you thrive then this is it.
You'll be someone who's ambitious and is looking to join a company to progress within. Even though this role is Senior you'll have the opportunity to move into a Principal/Lead role in the future.
Deep Android development experience using Kotlin.
You'll also be someone who's open to mentoring/supporting other engineers especially as the team grows.
