Overview:


Provide day to day project support to ensure procurement and implementation of a Payroll system that is fit for purpose and that has the scope and ability to be developed and improved for future strategic and operational needs.


The role will support on gathering and implementing requirements and system benefits, data integrity, system build/design, testing, and implementation of the chosen solution.


By working with members of the Payroll Team this role will redesign and streamline current processes by utilising new system functionality to improve user experience across the employee lifecycle.


Responsibilities:


  • Feed into business requirements by attending feedback sessions.
  • Ensure all Payroll and operational requirements are covered as part of our RFP process.
  • Work with supplier and other partners to design and build the new solution.
  • Work with suppliers in resolving issues and escalate unresolved matters to project team.
  • Design and implement user acceptance testing.
  • Plan and oversee dual running in partnership with HR Technical Lead.
  • Create a suite of system change documentation to be utilised for post go live system development.
  • Create an information support FAQs page for the Intranet.
  • Work with HR Quality Lead to review current gaps in compliance and design new processes.
  • Ensure learning from prior implementations is applied at all stages of the project.
  • Raise concerns or risks and offer solutions.
  • Participate in data cleansing of the current system to guarantee integrity of migrated data.
  • Create a point in time data warehouse enabling access to historic data.
  • Facilitate appropriate training in Payroll Team for new system.
  • Maintain project documentation, enabling appropriate access.
  • Provide regular updates of key dates and milestones to project leads and project team.
  • Enable a joinedup project approach with HR Technical Lead ensuring key tasks are completed in unison.
  • Active participation in product selection process.
  • Ensure business needs (identified as part of requirements gathering and ongoing discussions) are implemented in the solution.
  • Identify changes required to "as is" processes and system configuration.
  • Work with Business Analyst to ensure all processes (for all users) are mapped and delivered to the business.
Ensure legislative requirements (including GDPR) are met.
