We are looking for an experienced
_Project Accountant; Finance Lead - Governance Project_, for this 18-month interim contract, to join this unique and exciting but extremely complex organisation based in the heart of London.


In this critical role you will be working autonomously as the finance lead that will undertake and deliver on several key pieces of work to support an organisational wide governance project; that aims to simplify the structure and arrangements across ofthe whole organisation.


The role is the finance governance lead for this complex and key project, responsible for supporting the project team with high level financial analysis and reporting that will assess and understand the impact of proposed changes.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial analysis work to determine the future operating cost of the proposed governance model as compared to the current arrangements
  • Research and recommendations in relation to technical accounting and compliance matters which may arise as a result of the restructure eg, transfer of assets, tax and VAT implications
  • Support the Governance Project Director with the development and management of the budget for this key project, giving careful consideration to the resources required at each stage, and producing regular financial reporting, updates and monitoring
  • Work with the Finance team to identify and implement the changes required to systems and processes to support the proposed structure and financial operating model
  • Provide relevant financial analysis to directors and HR to support any team restructuring arising from the new structure, working with the Finance Business Partners
  • Undertake the necessary financial analysis and mapping to manage the transfer of accounting records from one entity to another


You will be a key member of the Governance project team and will work closely to support the team in its delivery of the project.


You must possess first class communication skills, with a passion for what you do and able to instil enthusiasm in others - it is essential you are able to engage in a credible way with a wide range of stakeholders to optimise solutions, achieve buy-in andpromote excellence.
