Description
We are looking for a recent graduate to join a growing, highly successful business as an IT Support Assistant. Based in central London, we are seeking a proactive individual to help maintain our IT and telephony infrastructure.

Our IT and telephone systems are cloud based, with 75 users working on desktop PCs (Windows 11) across multiple sites.


The role
This is a hands-on role, responsible for the majority of the company's technology.

You will be working with IT Service Providers to manage and resolve all user IT and telephone issues within SLAs.

You will need the ability to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills without resorting to jargon. You should be self-motivated, confident and organised with ability to prioritise based on business need.


Main duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure maximum availability for all business systems, taking the lead to resolve all technical issues.
  • Provide frontline support to staff including all requirements of the business owner at office and home.
  • Perform out of hours staff desk moves or tasks if required.
  • Setup and support for onboarding new staff.
  • Assist with management of all aspects of cyber security.
  • Manage all telephony requirements, including company mobiles.
  • Support and advise on company IT and telephony related projects.
  • Keep IT administration up to date, e.g. network diagram, volume and other licensing, internet domains, asset register, etc.
  • Other adhoc office tasks, as and when required, e.g. oversee aircon system, replace light fittings, etc.

Required skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience

  • Ideally an IT related degree.
  • Ability to recognise users' key requirements and prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrable self starter with a "hands on" approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Clear and proactive communicator with individuals at all levels, without reverting to jargon.
  • Previous experience of a hosted ("cloud") infrastructure would be advantageous.
