Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Van Driver's to join our team.

A Waste management Collection Driver is responsible for collecting, transporting, and disposing of used cooking oil from various commercial establishments.

This role involves driving a 3.5- tonne vehicle (Category B) and ensuring the proper management of collected materials. The position is full-time, with a 5-6 day working week, and entails working 10 hours per day.


Vans are provided by the company once your van is allocated you will be invited in for an induction day.


Once the above is completed you will then collect the van if they have not already and then start the training part of the job We will take care of all legal costs regarding the vans.

Vehicles are fitted with trackers are not to be driven outside of working ours or outside of work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Route Planning: Plan efficient routes for daily collections, ensuring timely pickups and adherence to schedules.
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a 3.5tonne collection vehicle, following all UK road regulations.
  • Collection: Load, transport, and unload food waste and used cooking oil containers from bins or designated areas.
  • Customer Interaction: Maintain professional interactions with customers at collection sites, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive customer experience. '
  • Environmental Compliance: Adhere to local and national environmental regulations regarding waste collection and disposal.
  • Waste Separation: Properly segregate and manage collected materials to facilitate recycling and responsible disposal.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of collections, including quantity, location, and any issues encountered during the route.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.

Working Conditions:

  • Fulltime position with a 56 day working week.
  • 10 hours per day, with the possibility of overtime.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical exertion.
  • Regular use of a 3.5tonne collection vehicle.

Pay:
£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
