Join us on the Journey... National Express is currently recruiting for a
Process Improvement Associate to work closely with company business functions as part of the business excellence team, to manage and facilitate hands-on process improvement activities/projectsand to support the development of a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
The successful individual will build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation to ensure efficiency of business processes, by creating and supporting changes/improvements across the business.
We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible individual to deal with constantly changing demands within a fast-paced environment.
The role reports to the Head of Business Excellence.
What you'll do...
- Support the Head of Business Excellence in the management, assessment and prioritisation of the Continuous Improvement Programme.
- Manage your own portfolio of process improvements to improve quality, reduce cost and increase productivity by reducing wasted time, replication, rework, etc. and govern the delivery and execution of these improvements ensuring stakeholders are informedof progress.
- Conduct ongoing analysis to measure the impact of process improvements following the implementation of a change.
- Support the delivery of OPERATE Self-Assessments across UK divisions, with an aim to assess continuous improvement and process maturity across the organisation.
- Support the ongoing maintenance of the Business Excellence OPERATE hub and processes
- Collate team reports and KPIs to required deadlines
- Promote open and constructive dialogue,encourage collaboration and actively drive change through people, processes and technology.
- Deliver OPERATE framework coaching, supporting people to utilise data and process improvement techniques to deploy improvements.
What you'll need.
- Proven previous experience in a role with exposure to change, project and process management.
- Process Improvement experience and OPERATE training preferred (not essential training can be provided).
- Skills to assess and report on the conformance and implementation of processes.
- Stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and collaborate cross functionally.
- Capability to collect, organise and interpret data for effective decisionmaking.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple workloads.
- Proven leadership skills and business acumen performance driven.
- A positive and encouraging approach with a passion for the development of others.
- A strong Growth Mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and willing to try new things
- Excellent presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written.
- Works well in a team environment, with sound negotiation and problem solving skills.
