Aston-on-Trent Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching and Learning Assistant/Midday Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team.

We are looking for somebody who can support children's learning within a wide range of year groups. Our staff are dedicated and passionate, with a sense of fun and commitment to every child.

We wish to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner who is dedicated to enabling pupils to achieve their personal best.


This role will also include 7 hours 5 minutes of Midday Supervisor duties per week.

  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to children's needs
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
- including first aid duties

  • Be creative and innovative
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • Be committed to promoting and upholding the school values and ethos
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs.
  • Is motivated and passionate to achieve the very best for the children in our care and make a genuine difference
  • Uses their own initiative to assess and evaluate pupils' needs
  • Leading intervention groups
  • Working with individual children, including SEND children.
