Position Overview:


This is a chance to be involved in significant growth plans reporting directly to the Product Support Sales Manager, with a dotted line into the Product Manager, this customer facing position is primarily based on-site performing wear part analysis of customer fleet, including OEM machinery, bucket stock and undercarriage.

One of the responsibilities is to utilise internal systems to identify outstanding analysis opportunities and ensure workload is managed efficiently.

This role is also responsible for providing consultant support to Sales teams and customers where required and establishing a knowledge base for all wear products.

This position is focussed on increasing Undercarriage and GET sales by supporting the Sales teams and ensuring that all analysis data is of a high standard and current.

The role responsibilities also include proactively seeking additional wear product opportunities and taking the necessary actions, including additional analysis, market feedback, understanding the competition and communicating with the relevant Sales team, to further the opportunity.


Job Description:


Major Job Functions:

  • Analysis
  • Perform onsite wear analysis of all customer fleet utilising internal systems and equipment. Liaise with the customer and internal departments to arrange onsite analysis to be performed at a time that meets the customers' needs and keeps machine down time to a minimum. Manage data input in internal wear analysis systems. Ensure all outstanding OLGA wear analysis leads are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Product Sales
  • Proactively seek additional wear product opportunities and take necessary actions to further the opportunity. Assist in major Tender compilation by providing specialist advice on wear products and support on site visits.
  • Product Knowledge
  • Provide product knowledge, advice and recommendations to the customer and sales teams as required. Provide onsite support for all studies, trials and wear tests. Provide training on wear analysis and internal systems as required
  • Supporting Teams
  • Support Product Management team with driving awareness of current campaigns and initiatives through communication with site and Sales Teams. Attend customer meetings where required to support the Sales Teams in increasing Undercarriage and GET sales.

Education & Experience:

  • Level 3 qualification (Advanced Apprenticeship, BTEC, Extended Certificate, NVQ, A Level, Diploma) 3 years' experience working within construction industries
  • Working knowledge of Plant Machinery
  • Driving License

Working Conditions:

  • Customer sites, varying from quarries to landfills, motorways to railways.
  • Outdoor working in all conditions
  • Daily Travel Commuting to customer sites
This position requires flexible working hours to meet the customer needs i.e. weekend hours.

Commuting around the country and working away for short periods of time are all major role requirements.
