Flight Supervisor

Shift: 5 on 3off

Salary:
£16-18ph (Dependant upon experience)


Overview:

As a Flight Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational aspects of airline flights to ensure a smooth and safe travel experience for passengers.

You will manage a team of flight attendants and collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to safety regulations, customer service standards, and on-time performance.


Key Responsibilities:


Flight Operations Management:

Coordinate pre-flight preparations, including crew briefing, aircraft inspections, and ensuring all necessary supplies are onboard.

Monitor flight schedules and ensure adherence to departure and arrival times.

Address any operational issues or disruptions, such as weather delays or mechanical problems, in a timely and efficient manner.


Safety and Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies during all phases of flight operations.

Conduct regular safety briefings and drills for flight crew members to maintain readiness for emergencies.

Investigate and report any safety incidents or violations and implement corrective actions as necessary.


Customer Service:

Ensure that passengers receive excellent service throughout their journey, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.

Handle passenger complaints or issues professionally and escalate when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.

Coordinate with ground staff to facilitate smooth passenger boarding and disembarkation processes.


Team Leadership:

Supervise and support flight attendants, providing guidance and assistance as needed to maintain a high level of performance.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance individual and team effectiveness.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.


Communication and Coordination:

Serve as the primary point of contact between flight crew, ground operations, and other relevant departments.

Communicate important operational information and updates to crew members and ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.

Collaborate with dispatchers, air traffic control, and other stakeholders to optimize flight operations and resolve issues efficiently.


Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the aviation industry, preferably as a flight attendant or in a related field.
  • Indepth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Valid FAA certification or equivalent regulatory approval for flight operations management (preferred).

Pay:
£16.00-£18.00 per hour
