Central Office in Chelmsford with the possibility of hybrid working

Pay:

£19,838 - £23,500 FTE (depending on experience)


Are you organised, practical, flexible and want to work in an administration role? We are looking for someone who knows the importance of providing effective back-office support and understands that no job is too small.

Ideally you will have some administrative experience, and the ability to build relationships, using your communications skills to understand the tasks that need to be undertaken.

We are looking for someone who thrives on working with people with differing experiences to build a common language of inclusivity and support.


What might you be doing?

The role would include:

  • Office administration: answering telephone enquiries, post, photocopying, shredding, and purchasing.
  • Diary management: booking meetings, venues, accommodation, and travel.
  • Programme administration: residentials administration, monitoring shared inboxes.
  • Feedback form data entry and support.
  • Database: data entry/integrity and reporting.
  • Database/Microsoft 365 support for team members.
  • Training administration.
  • Organising events: Annual conference and live webinars.
  • Updating and maintaining online and offline records.

Essentials
We will shortlist against the following experience, attributes, and skills that we know you will need to thrive in the role:

  • Located within easy reach of our office in Chelmsford.
  • If hybrid working is agreed, broadband access of sufficient quality for cloudbased working and video calls.

Experience

  • Administrative experience, where you have been required to turn your hand to a wide range of tasks.
  • Experience of working in an organisation with a geographically displaced workforce.

Skills

  • A willingness to embrace all aspects of the role, understanding that no task is too small. A people person, able to build good relationships face to face or at a distance.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise your own workload, working across different areas.
  • Excellent communication both written and oral.
  • Strong IT skills, familiar with MS 365, including Excel and Word and ideally CRM databases.
  • A willingness to train team members on MS 365 and new IT functionality.
  • Ability to record data accurately, accessibly, and legally, keeping systems up to date at all times.

Business Operations Administrator

  • Hours: hours per week (FT at The Country Trust is 35 hours)
  • Remuneration: £19,838 £23,500 depending on experience.
Annual Leave: 25 days, plus 8 bank holidays

  • Benefits: Pension contribution of 3% (5% employee contribution). Free parking (if based at central office).
  • Additional requirements: Driving licence and access to a car (desirable)


If you are homebased, you will require a computer with an up-to-date operating system (compatible with Windows 10 and Microsoft 365), and internet access of sufficient quality (Business ideally), and personal IT proficiency (including a working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook) that ensures you can function as part of The Country Trust team.
