We are working in partnership with a dedicated, specialist college in Draycott in the Moors, where the needs of the pupils is at the heart of the college's requirements.

Ranging from 10-16 years, the college's aim is to ensure all pupils leave education with accredited qualifications, valuable and sustainable life skills to adapt and flourish in their chosen pathways.

Communicating with pupils parents consistently and consecutively to ensure all opportunities to education are exerted, whilst building pupils self-esteem to excel in their future.

The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant will have the following attributes:

  • To create strong, long-lasting relationships with young people
  • Can communicate effectively and efficiently with young pupils when behavioural challenges arise
  • To be robust, resilient and patient in your approach
  • Delivering effective curriculums that fit the needs of the students you are working with and the ability to adapt learning plans for individuals where necessary
  • To regulate and manage arising behaviour
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable for the needs within the school and pupils
  • To assist with pupils development plans
  • Capability to promote the development of positive social behaviours and selfregulation skills
