Role:
Semi Senior Accountant

Salary:
up to £32K


Location:
Sheffield


Working days:
Monday to Friday

  • 09:0017:15
Hybrid working structure offered, at least 3 days in the office per week.


Role:
Our client is an accountancy firm with a diverse portfolio of clients including Sole traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.

These clients come from a variety of sectors and we predominantly deal with clients based in and around South Yorkshire, butdo have clients further afield.


  • We provide a variety of services including but not limited to Payroll, CIS declarations, Pensions, Bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Management Accounts, Annual Accounts, Personal and Corporate Tax Returns.


We pride ourselves on the providing a great service to our clients and have built our client base through recommendations.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:


  • Preparation of year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and companies
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Preparing corporation tax returns
  • Preparing personal tax returns
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Liaising with clients and answering queries
  • Other adhoc tasks


We will look to utilise your skills in the above areas but your main focus would be to complete year end accounts for companies with us supporting to develop your skills in this area.


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • You will have experience in a similar role with at least 1 years' experience in a practice environment.
  • Have worked with a multitude of accounting software's, QuickBooks, Xero, SAGE etc.
  • Have a keen eye for attention to detail
  • Problem Solver
  • Good communication skills
  • Some client facing experience

PERSONAL QUALITIES
Be able to develop and build relationships with clients both internal and external.

Have good communication skills, confident presenting themselves to senior management and will be able to challenge ideas when needed.

Ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


The role would suit someone who is nearing the end of AAT or is AAT qualified and is looking to make their next step up.
