Want to join a leading international, independent real estate consultancy with an all together different approach?
We are looking for an experienced, efficient, and enthusiastic Associate or Senior Associate Building Surveyor to join us after another fantastic year across our real estate sectors.
Due to exponential growth, we need a strong MRICS building surveyor to facilitate the end-to-end project management on several current and potential projects.
As a result of Hollis' desire to continue expanding our surveying team, we have created this new role within our Birmingham office.
You will be taking on a variety of industrial, mixed-use, retail and office refurbishment projects up to a value of several £million.
We're keen to hear from anyone able to hit the ground running with mínimal supervision, who is hungry to grow this exciting and innovative service.
This is an exciting opportunity that offers exposure to a variety of clients and the potential for supporting other areas of surveying including Development Monitoring, Dilapidations, Technical Due Diligence etc.
Main responsibilities:
- Carry out general Building Surveying services and support other Hollis surveying services with a focus on projects, contract administration and employers agent
- Project manage refurbishment projects up to around £6m around the West Midlands region
- Winning business from new and existing clients, build and grow a network of potential contacts and actively work towards growing the service
- Assist in the development of graduates / apprentices with potential to line manage directly
- Assist with business management of specific clients with Director support
- Provide excellent client care
- Manage project budgets, etc. and internal WIP management
Requirements:
- MRICS with minimum 5 years PQE
- Experience of running refurbishment projects up to £6million
- Experience in the commercial real estate sector, ideally including industrial, office or retail
- Selfmotivated and wanting to make the most out of a fast growing service
- Full UK Driving License and a commutable distance from Birmingham
- Take ownership of instructions and delivers according to client needs
- An interest in taking on ESG focussed projects
- Strong report writing and communication skills
