Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative

39 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday


Are you a highly motivated skilled Gardener with an interest in Ground Maintenance? If so an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our friendly, dedicated and expanding team on a variety of projects across all of our local sites.


The role:


This role is based at our Head Office, West Kinfauns, Perth with work across our various Perthshire locations including Scone, Errol, Alyth and surrounding areas as required.

You will be responsible for undertaking general gardening and ground maintenance work.

You will ensure the grounds are consistently of good appearance and are worked and maintained to safety standards in accordance with the season.


The role will involve grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, planting, potting, pruning, hoeing, digging, gritting, edging lawns, leaf & litter collecting of pathways and car parks using powered gardening equipment such as ride on mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters as well as general ground maintenance work as required.

The role is outdoors therefore we'll be looking for you to stay motivated working in all weather conditions.


What you'll need:


  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Experienced in Garden and Grounds maintenance and manual outdoor work
  • Have a good understanding of Health and Safety compliance and adhere to safe working practices
  • Willing to keep up to date and comply with training as required
  • Full driving license
  • To take pride in your work always ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Chainsaw and chemical spraying qualifications would be desirable
