Signature Recruitment is excited to recruit for a dedicated Student and Academic Support Officer for our client, a leading public research university in London.

This temporary 3-month position has an immediate start and requires full time office-based working.


As a Student and Academic Support Officer, you will be at the heart of the academic community, providing essential support across college programmes.

Your day-to-day tasks will include managing student records, responding to enquiries, assisting with module registrations, and supporting various academic activities.

Your role is crucial during the assessments period, handling module queries and ensuring accurate mark collation for faculty sub-boards. This position requires excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to handle the bustling campus environment.


Student and Academic Support Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate marks and ensure accurate student records for exam boards.
  • Respond to student and staff enquiries, offering guidance and information.
  • Support the organisation of student tutorials, academic advisories, and module signups.
  • Assist in managing student events, room bookings, and external speaker arrangements.
  • Ensure efficient preparation for student progression boards and faculty meetings.
  • Handle administrative tasks including inbox management and report presentation.

Student and Academic Support Officer Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in student management systems such as Unitu or SITS, and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in higher education settings, particularly with student records and assessment processes.
  • Ability to present detailed reports to academic panels in a professional manner.
  • Strong communication and time management skills, with the capability to work under pressure.

Pay:
£18.00 per hour
