Trainer / Assessor - Exceptional Care

Salary :
£130 Per Day

Who are Exceptional Care?


Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children's service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17 from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD.

The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the whole of the North West.


Exceptional Care believes that consistency in care is paramount to children/young people with complex needs, to this end we are committed to developing and maintaining good communicative relationships with the child/young person.


Responsibilities/Duties:


You will be responsible for assessing work based competence within the children's homes sector and you will be required to deliver face-2-face training and virtual classroom around L4 Children and Young People and L5 Leadership and Management in residential care.


  • Deliver workshop and training course using a range of resources and in line with internal and external standards / quality procedures
  • Assess learners enrolled onto qualifications, including Diploma qualifications, in line with internal and external standards up to Registered Manager level.
  • Work closely with all relevant departments and staff to ensure an efficient training process
  • Identify training needs and maintain accurate and up to date records of training attendance, completion and competence
  • Prepare workload for IQA
  • Work with IQO to prepare for EQA
  • Deliver feedback to learners in a sensitive and coherent manner
  • Maintain a safe, productive and supportive learning environment
  • Promoting and practising Exceptional Care values
  • Ability to motivate learners
  • Excellent presentations skills

Role Requirements:


  • Relevant childcare experience to assess children's diploma's
  • Experience of devising training materials and sessions

  • Experience of delivering training and qualifications up to L4 Children and Young People and L5 Leadership and Management in residential care.5 essential
  • Up to date knowledge of carerelated training and qualifications
- essential

  • Knowledge & understanding of Children/Adult social care is essential
