Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant
Are you a recent psychology graduate keen to gain experience working with children? Do you have a passion to help those who are struggling to reach their full potential?

Here at
SHAPE A LIFE we are working with a secondary school in
Carlton near Selby North Yorkshire. The school is really keen to add to their team and are seeking an empathetic Learning Support Assistant.

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher or educational psychologist to gain firsthand experience which they can then take on to the next step of their career.


Not for the fainthearted this role will be challenging but the rewards will also be great for a person who really wants to be an influence and
SHAPE A LIFE positively for the future.

**What you will be doing:
- *
  • Provide teaching support in small groups and with individual pupils.
  • Assist with the general pastoral care of students
  • Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
  • Actively encourage the inclusion of all students to participate in the life and activities of the school.
  • Support the teacher with monitoring progress.
  • Assisting in the planning and learning activities.
  • Support pupils with their educational and social development by modelling positive behaviour and demonstrating high expectations.
  • Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance and integration of all pupils.

You will need:


  • Passion and enthusiasm to shape the next generation.

A Psychology degree 2:2 or above.

  • Have high expectations of teaching and learning.
  • Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
  • To be a positive role model
  • Be keen to develop as a professional
