Duration:
This is a temporary position from 18 March - 6 September 2024.

Your normal working week is a minimum of 35 hours, between 09:00-17:00 daily Monday to Friday, however, in the lead up to and during the event period (July-August) you will be required to work additional (paid) hours including evenings and weekends.


Job Purpose Summary:

To maintain the accreditation system as well as assist with a range of tasks to support the Operations team in the delivery of events.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the microsite and accreditation system for all event staff for REMT events.
  • Assist in the preparation of training, conferences and other events, including:
  • Preparation of relevant paperwork.
  • Organising, ordering and executing the catering and equipment for the event.
  • Recording minutes and attendance as required.
  • Assist in the delivery of important communications to external stakeholders.
  • Support in the organisation and delivery of training and inductions, and maintain records as required.
  • Assist with the management of guests, and meeting arrangements.
  • Support preparation for key events and documents.
  • Coordinate deliveries/collection to the office and other locations.
  • Provide administration assistance to Operation Team members.
  • Other duties relating to the event as reasonably required by your manager.
  • Represent the company positively in interaction with performer groups, seasonal staff, event contractors and partner organisations.

Essential Skills/Characteristics/Qualifications:

  • Administration experience, or relevant experience
  • Customer facing role experience.
  • Event experience.
  • Friendly, flexible, solution focused mindset
  • Fluent in English, with excellent literacy skills.

Desirable Skills/Characteristics/Qualifications:

  • Understanding of protocol and precedent.
  • Project management skills.
  • Event management experience.
  • Experience working for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
  • RFID or similar accreditation software experience.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract


Salary:
£12.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 35 per week
