Job Description Summary:
Responsible for the completion of statutory accounts to statutory reporting deadlines.

In-depth understanding of audit processes and procedures, as well as key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own and team tasks.

In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the achievement of team and company goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for ensuring all statutory accounts are completed and filed before the statutory filing deadline and are in compliance with the country's regulatory requirements.
  • Management of the statutory audit process, including preparing working papers to support the figures in the statutory accounts.
  • Liaising with the company's auditors to answer questions and queries which arise during the audit process.
  • Reviewing the financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance with best practice, IFRS accounting standards and local laws.
  • Liaising with colleagues and other internal and external teams to obtain required information to complete tasks.
  • Liaising with the inhouse tax team in the provision of accounting information and analysis to support the preparation of local tax returns.
  • Developing an indepth knowledge of the company's reporting processes. Uses prior experience and knowledge to execute tasks efficiently.
  • Provides guidance and shares knowledge with other team members. Able to explain complex information to others.
  • Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
  • Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications:


  • At least 4 years' experience in a similar position
  • Qualified accountant.
  • Experience in financial reporting and auditing, meeting deadlines, working with external auditors and the preparation of financial statements.
