Apprentice Attendance Clerk

£5.50 per hour years of age (and over 19 years of age in first year) £10,158 FTE, TTO only, 37 hours (£9,307.08 actual)

(Over 19 years of age rises to minimum wage after successful completion of first year)
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our attendance team.

The Apprentice Attendance Clerk will be expected to work alongside our existing attendance team and complete a Business Administration Apprenticeship as part of their commitment to this role.

The role will involve working directly with the Attendance Clerk to support with the administration and maintenance of attendance information in the Academy.

Duties will include:


  • Filing
  • Answering calls
  • General admin

What you will cover:


  • Customer service
  • Developing IT skills
  • Telephone skills
  • Managing information and data

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior work experience desired, but not essential

  • Professional, organised and attention to detail
  • Polite and professional telephone manner

Desired qualifications
5 GSCEs at grades A-C/7-4 (or equivalent) including English and maths.
