Job overview:
Cornwall's Adult Eating Disorders Service is looking to employ an additional Peer Support Worker to join the established peer support team.
Peer support is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support the path towards recovery than someone who has walked the same path as that individual.
The role of Peer Support Worker (PSW) has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of eating disorders.
Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, peer support workers will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others.

The AEDS will take the lead in providing solutions to more complex non-routine issues arising and amend procedures in support of the PSW.
The PSW will work under the supervision of the AEDS and collaboration of other key stakeholders involved in the delivery of care in the community.
