Job Title:
Team Teach and SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location:
Sefton

Contract Type:
Full-time, Long-term

Salary:
£11.50- £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onetoone and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
Implement strategies and interventions to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Utilise Team Teach techniques to effectively manage challenging behaviour and promote positive interactions.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to support.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
Team Teach certification essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging situations.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting student learning and wellbeing.
Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
