Job description


The purpose of the role is to engage new clients and to support adult patients around their treatment at The OAD Clinic.

The role is mainly administrative but carries a lot of client contact, is varied, fast paced and requires a lot of teamwork.


Responsibilities
Ensure that patients consistently receive excellent quality services that adhere to best practice guidelines:

  • Maintain your caseload up to date:
  • Prescriptions management: create and issue prescriptions on time. Ensure pharmacy has stock. If required, going to post office to post prescriptions. Change/adapt prescriptions (due to holidays, titrations, increase/reduction in medication prescribed, etc.). This is an essential component of the job which requires high attention to detail.
  • Conduct triage assessments and update the patient profile in our system
  • Ensure patients have settled the fee in full prior to each appointment
  • Handle any tasks from clinical treatment directions
  • Ensure patients are booked in for reviews and other essential appointments
  • Handle complaints
  • Liaise with hospitals, other clinics, GPs where needed
  • Grow the clinic's caseload:
  • Provide information on harm minimisation, BBV and overdose prevention.
  • Promote a professional image of the clinic at all times to patients, stakeholders, partner organisations and the public.
  • Uphold data protection legislation as per SHL policies, information sharing protocols and patient confidentiality agreements.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding procedures are adhered to, including appropriate screening, risk management and escalation with regard to child protection and protection of adults at risk. These are to be dealt with in accordance with SHL policies and procedures, and local and national statutory requirements.

Person Specification

Essential criteria:


  • Longterm commitment to the role for at least 3 years is a must
  • Experience in the private sector is a must
  • Excellent phone manners/customer service, approachable and helpful attitude is a must
  • Knowledge of the issues facing substance misusers and mental health patients preferred

And the ability to:


  • Keep calm under pressure.
  • Keep a mature, empathetic and nonjudgmental attitude towards substance misusers and mental health sufferers.
  • Work with and manage challenging behaviour

Skills:


  • Good MS Excel and Google sheets skills
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Salary:
£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
