Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and reliable rehabilitation therapy assistant to join the Therapy Team in the North of Powys.

The post will support the community services and offers someone with a passion for working in the health or social care field the opportunity to develop their career.

The post will be based on Brynheulog ward in Newtown hospital.

Responsibilities include patient rehabilitation and relevant documentation; carrying out rehabilitation plans as directed by occupational therapists and physiotherapists, completing delegated therapy assessments such as personal care, cognitive, or mobility assessments, and clear communication with service users and their families.

Contribute to the continued development and maintenance of efficiency and safety in the Therapy Department which involves some administration tasks.

Be flexible at times of increased capacity to the service.

The team provide a 7-day service and staff are expected to be part of the weekend roster.
