Purpose
of
the
role

  • Lead digital marketing for all staff recruitment working closely with the People Team.
  • Managing all organic social media channels and the annual calendar.
  • Developing paid digital campaigns to support occupancy and fundraising activity.
  • Day to day management of the website ensuring content is kept up to date.

Key
responsibilities

Digital marketing

  • Working with the People Team to develop digital advertising campaigns for staff recruitment from initial brief to execution
  • Develop adhoc landing pages and specific sections of the website to maximise staff recruitment journey
  • Developing paid digital campaigns aimed at maximising occupancy and fundraising.
  • Ensuring a consistent tone of voice, brand look, feel and messaging across all digital channels, internally and externally
  • Building our edatabase by creating compelling content for our enewsletter
  • Driving engagement through our social media channels, increasing reach
  • Manage and improve the charity's Google Ads Account working with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer to create monthly content plans coordinated with social media plans, as part of our wider digital strategy
  • Working with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer to plan, coordinate and execute inhouse video and photo content
  • Monitoring our relatives' portal to create social media posts
  • Managing the website on a daily basis to ensure all content is up to date

Process

  • Working with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer to plan, coordinate and execute inhouse video and photo content
  • Weekly monitoring of the relatives' portal to generate social media content
  • Managing the website to ensure all content is up to date, providing provide monthly reports to highlight key areas of activity
  • To track all recruitment campaign outcomes, reporting on activity, monthly analytics and digital KPIs
  • To follow current approval process for all projects
  • To ensure content adheres to policy and legal requirements such as GDPR and appropriate permissions, and that necessary checks happen before publishing
  • To ensure any images used on our website are up to date, properly tagged and appropriate to the content of the page.

Communication

  • To establish excellent communication with colleagues in the People, Fundraising & Marketing Teams and throughout Royal Star & Garter
  • To communicate results of campaigns and to share best practices with relevant teams
  • To work effectively with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer, engaging in our management and appraisal systems.

Other

  • To be a brand ambassador ensuring consistency to a range of fundraising audiences.
  • To adhere to data protection legislation and to be conversant with relevant legislation and the guidelines
  • To undertake other such duties as may be required and which are consistent with the nature of this role.

Person
specification
Knowledge
and
experience:


  • Previous digital marketing and communications experience
  • Excellent written English and understanding of writing for digital, adaptable to different styles and tone of voice for different platforms and audiences
  • Experience of publishing using a Content Management System (CMS), ideally WordPress.
  • Knowledge of presentation tools
  • Knowledge of maintaining a digital community or social media accounts
  • Knowledge of HTML, metadata and web design desirable
  • Understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel and experience using Adobe's Creative Cloud apps and Microsoft 365

Skills:


  • Highly organised with excellent analytical skills
  • Good copywriting and editorial skills
  • Multimedia production skills desirable.

  • Be willing to work flexibly, including out of hours social media cover some evenings and weekends, with appropriate notice.
  • To be able to work in our other three sites when required our Homes in Surbiton, Solihull and High Wycombe
