The M8 DBFO contract is looking for 2 apprentices to join our team.
We maintain the M8, M73, M74, A8 and A725 in Central Scotland, with a mix of new roads constructed in 2017 and older roads constructed in the last 50 years.
The contract operates through to 2047.
From day one you'll be given real responsibility, gaining invaluable experience and exposure working alongside our industry experts and across your team.
- Emergency Response
- Winter Maintenance
- Pothole and Carriageway Repairs
- Landscape Maintenance
- Minor Civils Works
- Litter and graffiti removal
Within Amey, you'll be partnered with a "buddy" to assist you as you settle into your new role within our M8 team, helping answer all those initial questions you may have.
Once you've settled in, you will be allocated a mentor who will support you throughout your Apprenticeship, helping you develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed.
When you complete your Apprenticeship, your development does not stop You'll be given lots of opportunities to progress further within Amey as well as being encouraged to gain additional qualifications as you continue your career.

Key accountabilities:
Amey Transport Infrastructure make journeys better and exploring easier - by helping to make roads safer, railways smoother and our streets and green spaces clean.
Working through locally-based teams, we support communities by helping to create better, safer and more pleasant places through the provision of integrated highway design, well-designed streets, well-maintained grounds, modern public lighting and efficient winter maintenance solutions.
And with 4.8 million journeys a day on UK railways, we are also hard at work day and night maintaining the railways with the latest signalling systems, upgraded track and overhead lines and regular asset inspections.
