Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS FT are looking to recruit a number Support Workers / Nursing Assistants across the Trust in both full and part time positions.

The Trust have sites across the whole of Greater Manchester including:


  • Prestwich
  • Salford
  • Trafford
  • Wythenshawe
  • North Manchester, Crumpsall
  • Central Manchester
  • Bolton
  • Wigan
Support Workers/Nursing Assistants play a vital role in delivering care to the individuals admitted on to Wards.

As a Support Worker/Nursing Assistant, you have the most direct patient contact out of staff on the ward and engage with the patients on a 1-1 basis or in groups.

The role of the Support Worker/Nursing Assistant is broad and varied one.

Working amongst a wider team of professionals enables individuals to learn from one another and contribute to providing high levels of care.


Roles for will be available in various services including:

  • Inpatient Services
  • Rehab
  • PICU
  • Older Adults / Later Life
  • Forensic
  • Substance Misuse
