THE OPPORTUNITY


The Investment Operations Treasury Associate will be responsible for assisting with the daily transaction management of C|A managed investment portfolios, which deal in hedge, private equity, and mutual funds.

This role requires frequent collaboration with other internal operations and investment teams along with external service providers (e.g., custodians, banks, investment managers).

Attention to detail, time management and accuracy are skill sets required for this position.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cash management through preparation and execution of wire instructions and trade tickets to custodian banks; adhere to all internal procedures and controls
  • Daily reconciliation of cash accounts to bank/custodian
  • Provide Team wide assistance in the preparation and reviewing of wires
  • Track wire transactions and trade execution to confirm completion within internal and external deadlines
  • Provide cash projections to investment directors and their team to assist in upcoming investment decisions
  • Review cash wires and trades to ensure movements are in good order and settle timely
  • Support members of the investment operations team with various daily, weekly, and monthly cash and transaction reconciliation along with other operational activities for multiple clients
  • Participate in administrative activities associated with assigned client accounts, including account maintenance, reporting, and custodian correspondence
  • Assist with training, new hire onboarding, client onboarding, and ad hoc projects as needed
  • Enhance and maintain procedures and documentation of the cash and trade transaction process; adhere to and follow internal audit controls
  • Actively identify opportunities to reduce risk and increase scalability of existing processes through controls, procedures, and technology enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • 1 to 3 years work experience in investment operations or financial services, or equivalent education. Knowledge and experience with wire transaction processing, fund of funds, hedge and/or private equity funds preferred
  • A teamoriented individual with strong interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a rapidly growing, fastpaced environment, and manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines
  • An appetite to seek and solve problems is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Knowledge and familiarity with USD and Local markets/Foreign Exchange
  • Knowledge of ETF and/or Mutual Funds trading and settlement.
  • Demonstrable record of being a quick and agile learner.
