SPR Careers are proud to be working with a public sector client to recruit for a temporary HR Admin Officer located in Oldbury.
This position requires a combination of excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.
The HR Admin Officer will be responsible for handling various administrative tasks, supporting recruitment activities, and maintaining employee records.Working Instructions:
Hours:37 hours per week, Temporary
Pay Rate:
£19.31 per hour

Role and Responsibilities of HR Admin Officer:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department.
- Manage and maintain HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute HRrelated documents, such as offer letters, contracts, and policies.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation.
- Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards.
- Assist in resolving employee queries and concerns, escalating issues as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment and employee engagement.
- Support the implementation of employee recognition programs.
- Monitor and manage employee attendance records.
- Process and maintain accurate records of leaves, vacations, and other timerelated matters.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops as needed.
- Assist in tracking employee training and development activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to team members, as well as providing best practice guidance to hiring managers/schools.
Essential and Preferable Requirements:
- Proven experience in an HR administrative role/leadership role
- Strong knowledge of School HR policies, procedures, and recruitment policies
- Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of NJC Terms and Conditions and Teachers terms.
- It is a service schools pay for, so this is a hit the ground running with our SLA with schools.
