Transport Assistant/ Delivery Support
Chatham
£26k - £30k

Irlam Associates is proud to support a very well-established, global 3PL operating some brilliant logistics contracts across the UK and we are searching for a Transport Planner to join their team at their multi-user distribution site near Chatham.

Monday - Friday
Rotation of shifts - 6am - 4pm or 8am - 6pm

This isn't an admin job but more face to face and on the phone with drivers as well as replanning work through the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting all lates and fails to customers/depots
Debriefs
Booking on jobs of adhoc customers
Morning ETA reports
Checking all EDI jobs come through
Reviewing the trailer check daily
Ensuring returns/rebooks are processed and chased
Ensure all shot loads found on site are logged on engage
Manage trailer issues
Accept work on Blujay
All other reasonable requests

Key Skills:

Clear experience within a similar transport environment
Ability to be organised to prioritise workload
A sound knowledge of transport functions
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience of TMS (Mandata would be an advantage)
Ability to work under pressure and flexible in their approach
