Our client is looking for an Import Administrator to join their team in Treforest.


Essential

  • Computer literacy is a must
  • Professional telephone manner and customer service skills are essential
  • Attention to detail is vitally important
  • Friendly, calm and professional manner
  • Ability to handle pressure and good timemanagement

Desirable

  • Sea freight / customs knowledge experience would be highly desirable

Responsibilities:


  • Planning and arrangement of international consignments according to client instructions and requirements
  • Receiving of prealerts and shipping documentation
  • End to end monitoring of inbound and cross trade movements.
  • Opening of files and issuing notices of arrival for Sea and Air Shipments
  • Issuing customs clearance instructions and ensuring 100% compliance with AEO and customs policy
  • Booking of FCL and LCL deliveries, inclusive of merchant haulages
  • Day to day invoicing and job costing
  • Follow up of purchase orders/shipments
  • Communication with overseas offices/partners
  • Obtaining release from shipping lines, if/when required
  • Regularly updating customers monthly rates
  • Quoting new traffic / new trade lanes
  • Ensuring we meet company DATA Quality KPI with required tracking information
  • Ensuring any PM queries are cleared within KPI timeframe
  • Collecting VAT/Duty from customers if required
  • Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting Manager
