Salary:
£25,000 + Dependent on experience


Hours:
Full time, Monday - Friday (2 x days home based)

Your role at Prestige:

As an accounts assistant you will be responsible for sales ledger and purchase ledger clerical functions other general accounts administration and supporting with month end tasks

Main Responsibilities


Responsibilities:


  • Processing of sales ledger receipts. Accurately entering cash inflows on a daily basis into the accounting system.
  • Organising customer direct debit collection, setting up new direct debit customers and amending existing details.
  • Assisting credit controllers in allocating receipts to invoices, minimising unallocated payments on account
  • Processing of purchase ledger invoices. Accurately entering supplier invoices into the accounting system.
  • Assisting the Accountant in organising the supplier invoice payment BACs through the accounting system
  • Allocating direct debit and standing orders to supplier invoices
  • Dealing with general purchase ledger queries
  • Administration & processing of company expenses
  • Assisting in monthend reporting and adhoc reporting tasks

Skills and qualifications we're looking for:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Literacy & numeracy skills
  • Good communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Efficient time management & organisation skills
  • Problem solving skills and initiative in tasks
  • Preferable: Accounting qualification or willingness to study (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
