Test Lead (Automation - JavaScript / Cypress) / £55k - £65k + Excellent benefits / Cardiff (1 day a week)

Test Strategy / Automation Framework / JavaScript / Cypress / Agile

A well known company with a house hold name are looking for a Test Lead who will need to define and manage effective IT testing within the given portfolio, in line with the companies defined Test Strategy and to influence that strategy.

This will include providing the relevant testing governance, managing all types of testing, resources, and stakeholders through the STLC, and being an integral part of the SDLC to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions in a cost-effective manner.

They are looking for someone with experience of test managing multiple projects across multiple systems, in various delivery methodologies (e.g. Waterfall and Agile).

Responsibilities:

Define, implement and maintain a Testing Strategy
Produce testing artefacts for all projects and releases, including test plans, estimates and completion reports, to ensure visibility, traceability and control of the testing process.
Provide hands on testing as necessary
Drive the progress of test automation coverage across the companies tech estate
Support the Development Manager and to coordinate the use and maintenance of test environments for systems across the estate, ensuring best practices for data quality and data consistency
Provide Test reporting and MI to stakeholders, tracking defect counts, defect leakage and test coverage to analyse and drive continuous improvement within Test.
Manage stakeholders at various levels across the business and the Tech team on behalf of Test
Ensure testing deadlines are met and testing budgets adhered to for the portfolio.
Ensuring that Minimum Testing Standards have been met for all releases within the portfolio.

Experience / Skills:

Significant experience of Test managing multiple projects across multiple systems, in various delivery methodologies (e.g. Waterfall and Agile).
Demonstrable experience in the timely delivery of testing for smallmedium scale IT programmes/projects
Experience of Test managing distributed teams on and offshore, and delivering with vendor teams
Experience in test automation frameworks and tools as well as driving automated testing successfully on test programmes
Strong experience of browserbased endtoend testing frameworks. Cypress experience is particularly desirable, however, equivalent experience in other frameworks such as Selenium will also be considered
Midlevel JavaScript skills are desirable
Experience of automating test execution in CI/CD pipelines, particularly in AWS, is desirable
