The installations would be the following: glass balustrades, custom shower enclosures, glass for staircases, juliet balconies, glass doors, partitions and walk on floor glass.

Job Specifications

  • Following all health and safety procedures onsite and when handling the glass
  • Using hand tools and operating cutting machinery
  • Being part of a skilled installation team
  • A driving license is required
  • Experience in a previous frameless glass company is essential

Fitter's responsibilities include

  • Quality
control of deliveries

  • Following an organised electronic diary of scheduled installations
  • Tool upkeep
  • Preparing vans for an installation
  • Handling and managing glass during installation
  • Working from height
  • Updating and communication with Operations Manager
  • Taking accurate measurements on site
  • Complete templating for glass production
  • General housekeeping of site, warehouse and vans
  • Updating stock sheet quantities
  • Attend occasional systems training sessions
  • Be part of an end of week team get together and have cheers to a job well done

  • Be able to have and encourage open communications with all staff members
  • Be physically capable of carrying out the desired labour requirements
  • A friendly and helpful approach to all customers and team members
  • Willingness to learn and a drive to succeed
  • Team player, working with other personalities whilst supporting each other
