The Division of Surgery are looking to appoint an Apprentice Urology TCI Clerk on a full time basis.

Although English and Maths at level 2 is not required for the role, it is a requirement to complete the apprenticeship and need to be in place by the end of the apprenticeship.

If you do not hold or cannot evidence English and Maths at level 2 then support will be provided for the successful applicant(s) as part of the Trust's apprenticeship offer.

**Whilst this role is being advertised as a permanent position, there is an expectation that the successful applicant must complete all elements of the apprenticeship.

Initially, the successful applicant will be placed on a fixed term apprenticeship contract for the duration of the programme.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship and providing all additional milestones are met, the successful applicant will be issued a permanent contract.

Create, book, admit and discharge TCI encounters for patients.
Arrange the booking, reception and follow up outpatient appointments.
Complete all required documentation and computer records.
Locate and request case notes as required and check for information regarding admission.
Send out admissions letters and deals with all relevant enquires from patients, relatives and GP's etc.
Deals with any difficulties relating to the admission of the patient, referring to a higher level if required.
Ensure clear communications with the consultant and their secretary.
Ensure cancelled appointments are refilled where possible by reviewing the waiting list.
Ensure strict monitoring of patients waiting times, i.e. targets to be achieved.
Liaise with multi-disciplinary staff regarding Consultants annual leave.
