Assistant Accountant

Plymouth

£28000-£32000

Our client who is well known in the Plymouth business landscape is looking for an assistant accountant to work directly with their finance director in a hands-on accounting position.

This is a varied role covering all transactional work, collating salaries,and month end. You will need to be good at meeting deadlines, liaising with a full range of staff & external organisations.

In return you will be offered some flexibility around working hours, plenty of support and the opportunity to join a friendly focusedteam.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial accounts
Expense claims
Monthly bank reconciliations
Assisting in the creation of KPI reports
Invoicing clients on long term contracts
Accounts Payable
Administration of the banking system
Collate monthly salary information for processing by external payroll provider
UK VAT
AAT Level 3 Minimum
Good working knowledge of Excel

Working hours:
Monday to Friday Hours per week 1 Day per week work from home.
