Targeting a 1st mover from professional practice/top10 this role does not just support the Financial/Management accounting but has lots of commercial and operational exposure.

The role also sits within a business offering job sustainability and growth.

Workingwith a leading employer of choice based in Leeds, this new position of Assistant Finance Manager sits in the middle of core finance and commercial finance whilst reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance.

Whilst this role is a high-profile role, not justbecause of its influence with group and operations, but because of the wider support it provides in business partnering multiple functions and senior/director level stakeholders and contributing to overall decision making for the business.

The role will alsobe responsible for:

Preparing monthly cost centre variance reports understanding performance
Quarterly forecasting and budgeting whilst supporting the commercial finance analysts
Group consolidation and biannual presentations
Being a business partner to budget holders and various director level stakeholders
Ownership of key balance sheet accounts
Adhoc project work being a key member of the finance team which may involve acquisition du diligence, merger and post implementation work

Essentially this role would be targeting a first mover from professional practice and likely from a top 10 firm of accountants because of the size and scope of the work involved.

Someone wishing to broaden their likely audit skills in a commercial capacitywhilst picking up some of the management and financial accounting essentially rounding of an outstanding skillset to positing them towards becoming a Commercial Financial Controller.
