Lead Project Professional - Delivery


Location:
Barrow-in-Furness


Salary:
£43,373+, depending on skills & experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Monitoring and driving the flow of work from the engineering teams through to the shop floor in adherence with the Dreadnought schedule
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are achieved and that issues are effectively addressed, utilising problem solving skills where required
  • Lead and manage production of various progress reports, ie. build review packs, milestone evidence packs, status review packs etc.
  • You will have people manager responsibilities in this role across different disciplines, including production control, materials, project engineers and production support leads

Your skills and experiences:


  • Project Management qualification (e.g. APMQ or Prince2) or equivalent experience
  • A willingness to take on leadership responsibilities within the team
  • Proficient with MS packages, particularly MS Excel
  • Ability to use own initiative and excellent interpersonal skills

The Central Yard Facility (CYC) PP&C Enablement team:

As part of the PP&C enablement team within the CYC, you will be working closely with stakeholders from a variety of functions with the aim of enabling the system of work allowing clean scope packages for operations to execute, quality to verify and test & commissioning to pass off in our drive to deliver world class submarines to the Royal Navy.

This is a team that works in a fast paced environment, with the opportunity to see physical progress as the Dreadnought unit's progress through the build cycle.

There are opportunities to learn and develop your skills within the PP&C enablement team while being surrounded by knowledgeable people who can further develop you in Project Management and Dreadnought Build.
