Now Education are recruiting on behalf of a Pupil referral unit based in Runcorn.

About the college

The PRU is aimed at secondary students in KS3 and KS4 who have difficulties in mainstream settings or may have been permanently excluded from them.

The national curriculum and same level of qualifications are offered but staff also support pupil's in addressing emotional and behavioural barriers to learning.

About the role

We are seeking a learning support assistant and mentor to work in the school's provision on a long term and full time basis.

Experience supporting young people with SEND or SEMH.
Experience working with young people with challenging or complex behavior.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff.
The ability to work on a 1:1 basis with students, providing motivation and support to keep them engaged in lessons and activities.

School based experience is not necessary, it could be that you have worked as a Sports coach, residential care worker, foster carer or youth worker and have an interest in Education.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a cohesive and welcoming team, along with an inspirational headteacher.

Salary:
£70.00-£80.00 per day
