Overview:

MCL are looking for multiple Senior Electrical Designers for our Oil and Gas client in Aberdeen.

Duration:
If on a contract basis then estimated durations are 6 months with possible extensions thereafter.

However this may also be available as a Staff role.

Location:

Can be based in Aberdeen or Glasgow with the option to work hybrid minimum 3 days per week in the office.

However, remote working could be considered with visits to the office

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.

Responsibilities:

Key duties:

Creates and checks engineering designs
Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements
Input to project plans
Identify areas of concern during any project or study
Produce cost

- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value

Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore (not essential)

Essential Experience

Significant Brownfield experience
Drilling Facilities experience would be advantageous
Significant previous experience in detail design with an understanding of other disciplines.
Some experience and an interest in working with AutoDesk products.
