Key Responsibilities

  • Providing valuation advice to clients for loan security, accounts and other purposes
  • Producing Red Book valuation reports to a high standard
  • Develop and identify new business opportunities
  • Keeping up to date with changing legislation and valuation practices
  • Act as a role model to graduates***
  • Reporting to clients and senior colleagues
  • Become a single point of contact to clients
  • Adhere to internal processes, lender requirements and RICS regulations
  • Build the professional business through networking internally and externally, developing close relationships with existing and new clients**
    Key Skills
  • MRICS qualified with Registered Valuer status (essential)
  • Experience in writing valuation reports for Red Book purposes (essential)
  • Ability to drive a substantial case load with limited supervision
  • Highly proficient in valuation software, specifically Argus Enterprise (essential) and Argus Developer (advantageous)
  • Good market knowledge & strong commercial awareness
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years PQE but will consider 2 years PQE
  • Ability to utilise varying methods of valuation (essential)
  • Experience of development valuations (advantageous)
  • Familiar with lender specific requirements (advantageous)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel essential)
  • Ability to liaise and communicate well with clients, colleagues and other departments within Savills
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, research and report writing skills
  • Strategic approach to problem solving
  • Autonomous able to take sole responsibility for instructions from start to finish
  • Work quickly and efficiently to tight timescales
  • Experience working on landlord and tenant instructions (not essential but advantageous)
  • Ability to generate new instructions and build on the existing client base
  • Full, clean driving licence

    Team Overview

The role is part of the commercial professional advisory team, who also carry out lease consultancy, rating and general consultancy work, working closely with the commercial agency team.

The combined commercial team is made up of seven surveyors, two graduates,a property assistant and team administrator.

While the role will specifically be focused on providing Red Book valuation reports, reporting to the valuation director, the wider team aims to provide clients with an all round commercial property service to includeagency and lease consultancy.
