Own
- Work in partnership with hiring managers to ensure that they aren't just automatically replacing a role, but instead reviewing the needs of their team and filling skills gaps.
- Work to raise awareness of Student Roost as an employer of choice.
- Take ownership of the "work for us" section of the Roost corporate website.
- Recruit Management and HQ roles within Student Roost.
- Lead the People team by example, highlighting best practice and new ways of working.
- Teach the People team and internal and external comms teams how to navigate LinkedIn Recruitment, place adverts, and build and edit the Student Roost company page.
- Get off to the Best Start Ever and learn the Student Roost way of doing things, including implementing solutions to improve.
- Work closely with the marketing team to understand and learn customer segmentation and how we can use it to target recruitment campaigns.
- Be our recruitment champion, improving attraction and retention within Student Roost.
- Raise brand awareness and make Student Roost the "goto" employer within the PBSA industry.
- Work closely with other departments (external comms and marketing) to ensure the recruitment campaigns are on point with other messages and the customerfacing brand.
- Work with the People team and Hiring Managers to create recruitment campaigns specific to the role we are hiring.
- Work with various teams and managers to create online content, including videos for the website.
Initially, this role will be quite administrative-heavy until new processes can be adopted.
One of the first things will be to look at improving first stage shortlisting, by using technology to support our hiring managers.
It will be important for you to influence our hiring managers understanding of the importance of progressing vacancies, understanding the volatility of the recruitment market and the need to make this a prioritisation versus the daily challenges the operations managers have in competing priorities.
