Systems Administrator / Engineer - Key Responsibilities:
- The security, stability and uptime of production, staging and development environments
- Monitoring the above environments and reacting to alerts and issues that may arise in daytoday operation of their product line
- The maintenance of network, server and storage assets in data centre environments (AWS VPC, EC2, networking etc.)
- Ongoing upgrades and improvements to infrastructure and processes, including taking advantage of the latest technologies available
Systems Administrator / Engineer - You:
You'll have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge, and there's scope for the role to grow as you do.
- Have good selforganisation and communication skills
- Feel at home collaborating with others as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Have a flexible approach to work
- Be a fast learner and adaptable to change
Have practical experience working with:
- Networking technologies: subnetting, VLANs, routing etc
- Linux administration (specifically RHEL derivatives) including automation solutions such as Ansible/Chef/Puppet
- LAMP/LNMP stack
- VCS such as Git
- Working in a Scrum team, adopting the Agile methodology for your work
- Scripting e.g. bash/Python/Perl
- MySQL database administration
- Basic concepts of network security
- Practical experience of using Hyperscale Public Cloud providers like AWS
- Working experience of InfrastructureasCode technologies like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
