The Head of Finance will be the operational financial lead for the Windsor & Maidenhead area working in a flexible hybrid way from home and our office.
About the role
Core responsibilities include:
- Setting and monitoring budgets.
- Closing the area at the end of the financial year.
- Financial returns.
- Identifying and delivering continual improvements and developments to the finance support function.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from across the company to deliver high quality children's services in a cost effective way.
They should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in working as a Head of Finance or Finance Manager in a large and/or public sector organisation. Experience of working with the Dedicated Schools Grant would be an advantage but not essential.
- Demonstrable experience of working with the operational senior leadership team.
- Experience of successfully building & maintaining positive partnerships/relationships within a complex business
- Experience of financial management of a distinct unit and/or of managing substantial budgets within a large organisation.
- Experience of team management.
