Our core aim is Dudley First, community where possible and hospital where necessary, and our purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of our local population in Dudley.


The post holder will join the well-established Dudley NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression team delivering high volume, low intensity interventions.

Assisting in improving services for clients with a range of common mental health disorders, particularly anxiety and depression, within a stepped care framework that is equitable, non-stigmatising, accessible, responsive to local need and available to people aged 16 years and over.

The duties and responsibilities are intended to be indicative but not exhaustive of the responsibilities of the post holder. As Dudley Integrated Health and Care NHS Trust develops, the requirements of the job may develop and change.

However, to provide an insight into this role, the successful applicant could be expected to be involved the below:

  • Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service
  • Assess clients for suitability for low intensity interventions, adhering to the operational policy
  • Undertake a patientcentred interview which identifies areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral protocols and refer unsuitable clients on to the most appropriate service including voluntary organisations
