_Recra is working in partnership_ with a UK-based manufacturing company who are looking for a Beamsaw Operative to join their vibrant team.
A production operative in the feed area will be well versed in the following areas as part of their job role reporting to the Production Feed Supervisor:
Goods In:
- You will be responsible for ensuring all goods are quickly distributed to their respective locations and labeled and the Computer system is updated.
- Be responsible for receiving and quality checking all deliveries into the factory as they arrive and raise any queries associated with them.
- Carry out systematic stock take.
Press:
- Press Preparation and update the computer system.
- Preparing materials for the upcoming press run.
- Correctly place the laminate into the correct order ready for pressing.
- Lubricate the press line adhering to H&S processes.
- Pressing.
- Calibration / set up of the laminating line with correct dimensions.
- Measurement of glue dosage for each use adhering to H&S processes.
- Follow the board through the press line.
- Once completed ensure the board has correctly been manufactured and meets QA checks before placing it on the trolley for the next process.
- Ensure the machine is cleaned correctly following the final process.
- Spray booth operation for small quantities of boards using contact adhesive adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure that daily targets are met and work with the line manager to address any shortages.
Beam Saw:
- Operate the Beam Saw and warehouse system to cut laminates and other products as per the cutting list for each project.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintain all required records.
- Strict adherence to quality procedures.
- This list is not exhaustive of all tasks and you will be required to assist with other tasks within the operations department.
Key Role Requirements:
- Previous experience with woodworking machinery.
- Previous experience working with Timber Materials.
- Previous experience working in a factory Environment.
- FLT License.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Keen to learn & develop their skill sets and product knowledge.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Computer literate and able to use and understand ERP systems.
- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
- Personable, presentable, and articulate.
- Ability to work as part of a motivated team and maintain close relationships with colleagues.
- Able to work independently with the ability to work within deadlines and under pressure.
- To uphold and promote the Company Values at all times.
Hours:
Night Shift 3 pm
- 2 am (11% shift premium)
