Commercial Lead - Warwick (Onsite) - £55,990 to £71, % shift allowance:

  • As a Commercial Lead on shift in the Gas National Control Centre, you will be at the very heart of Britain's energy system.
  • You will be a part of the team operating the network that is crucial to day to day lives, the UK will be relying on you to get gas to where it's needed safely, economically, and reliably.
  • On shift you'll have responsibility for the real time commercial processes that underpin the UK gas network. Providing our customers with system capacity and flexibility, critical information and data enabling them to make effective decisions for their businesses, is a key part of your role.
  • You will be responsible for residually balancing the network, making effective energy balancing trades to match supply and demand needs when necessary.
  • To succeed in this role, you'll be a proactive self-starter. Your operational understanding means you already know how to deliver legal, commercial, and financial obligations in real time.
  • You'll make critical decisions under pressure while considering a range of factors and risks, the gas network relies on this to deliver our services.
  • You'll be work we with set structures and little room for mistake, so you need to understand the UK energy industry along with having a commercial sense and great communication skills, responding in real time to situations as they arise and work closely with your counterparts covering the other shifts
