Cubed Resourcing is working closely with a Bradford based company who galvanise steel for major suppliers into the building trade and public sector.

We are recruiting for a permanent Galvanising Operative to join their night shift team.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a local business with a drive to expand.

Main responsibilities for this role will be:

Preparing steel for galvanising, attaching steel by wiring techniques to an overhead crane to load onto machinery
Manually lifting steel frames ready to be dipped into Galvanising baths or using an overhead crane to assist with manual handling.
Operating machinery/Over head cranes
Galvanising gates and fences for a wide range of customers.
Supporting the movement of stock throughout the site
Manual handling and observing H&S site procedures

The successful Galvanising Assistant will be expected to work with a fast paced environment, able to work unsupervised once fully trained.

A lot of the work will be working outside in the yard.

Some heavy lifting and manual handling will be involved.

Requirements:

Ability to follow strict Health and Safety procedures throughout site.
Must be adaptable and have the ability to multiskill.

Hours of work are; Nights - 9.30pm to 5.30am Monday to Thursday and Fridays are 4.30pm to 10pm.

Overtime is also available.

All employees will be required to carry out their training on days before moving onto their shift.

Initial training will be on 08:00-16:00 basis for two weeks.
