Join us as a Climate Solutions Lead, Own Operations

  • We're looking for a Climate Lead to support delivery of our Own Operations climate commitments
  • You'll be setting and incorporating key climate goals into the overall strategy and business plan, and setting plans to achieve these
  • It's a great opportunity to build strong relationships as you support the broader bank's research, insight and engagement with specialist stakeholders across the climate agenda

What you'll do:


As a Climate Solutions Lead, you'll make sure that the overall strategy and business plan has a clear focus on climate with responsibility for formulating the strategy and driving the agenda.

You'll also ensure that the activities are in place to adequately prepare the business and engage all appropriate stakeholders effectively to enable change in relation to the implementation of the Own Operations climate agenda.

We'll look to you to act as the key liaison for solutions and collaborate with climate teams to make sure Own Operations benefits fully from their expertise.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing oversight and input from a climate perspective to enable innovative solutions aligned to our Own Operations climate commitments
  • Acting as the key point of contact for climate Own Operations solutions, utilising knowledge and expertise of internal and external developments
  • Presenting and articulating ideas and developments across the climate agenda to senior stakeholders across the business area and the bank
  • Represent Own Operations at relevant internal and external climate and environmental forums

The skills you'll need:


We'll expect you to have knowledge of sustainability and corporate responsibility and how it impacts businesses, clients and colleagues, along with an understanding of the financial services industry.


You'll also be an excellent communicator, with the ability to present and effectively articulate the climate agenda and strategy, as well as the ability to network with and influence people up to a senior and executive level.


Additionally, you'll need:

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • A background in project management and budget management
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships at a senior level
